Recent Event: Mike Mosher Memorial Ride 2020
On the evening of May 3rd, 2020, Officer Mike Mosher of the Overland Park Police Department was killed in the line of duty. Numerous non-profits joined together by creating an event for the City of Overland Park to honor his service to our community and raise donations for his family.
On Saturday, June 13th, 2020, SSOF and hundreds of sponsors, volunteers and community members met at Johnson County Community College for a memorial ride that featured everything from exotic car rides for veterans to a very special Chinook helicopter flyover that escorted our tour of Overland Park. This was a phenomenal opportunity for our city to come together as a community to honor our fallen Police Officer and Police Department. As a result, the Memorial Ride was able to raise more than $6,000 that went directly to the family of Officer Mosher.
